"Under the advice of Zenn Media, we put up a $10.00 coupon on our website for the 2008 Christmas season. The response was so overwhelming, that we decided to keep the coupon year round. Our new website paid for itself immediately."~Carina

"The Zenn Media team really put there full effort behind my project and was able to solve all of the issues that arose during the production of both my show reels and my website. I am so happy with the finished product I want to enter my website into a competition." ~Andrew

Sharing Facebook Content

This is part of our Facebook Marketing for your Business series

Sharing Facebook ContentOk so you have a shiny new Facebook account and you are looking to be the crux of the kewl content, first you need to find the share button, but where do you begin looking?  All kidding aside knowing how to share your content, news stories, pictures and video's properly is important to getting the most out of Facebook. This is especially true when you are marketing your business.

There are main places you will find the Share buttons or links on Facebook.

Sharing Facebook Content

The first is at the bottom of the left or right hand sidebar column as shown above.

Sharing Facebook Content

The second is the text link now found below each sharable item in your news feed as shown above.

Sharing Facebook Content

In both cases when you click on them they produce a pop up that allows you to add your personal comment and post it to your wall, or you can share with just selected people on your friends list by clicking the "Send as a message instead" link shown above.

Ok so now you know where to find the buttons, lets talk about some best practices when sharing Facebook content.  A message you will hear repeated is be positive, no body likes a negative Nancy, so try to share funny, entertaining and really interesting content. I find my self reading and watching almost all of the unique content posted by my Facebook friends, but when it is none of the above I often ignore other content posted by that user. In terms of promoting your business you can use these techniques to share content in groups, events and other business pages to get you content noticed by others. However there is a fine line between marketing done properly and spam no body cares about. As mentioned in the post previous to this one, when sharing links through your status update be sure to include the http:// before the link.
